How many doses should be given in multiple dose phase I study?
CHP: The number of doses given should match exactly the number of doses described in the protocol. The number of doses in the protocol will depend on many factors such as the half life of the drug, the pharmacodynamic variable to be measured, the time to maximum effect (which may be quite different that the time to peak blood levels), and any number of other variables determined by the questions the study is to answer.
