How many hours CPD will I need to complete in order to revalidate?

The medical Royal Colleges/Faculties are developing the standards that doctors will need to meet in their particular areas of specialist practice in order to revalidate. They currently require all doctors to complete 50 credits of CPD per annum and a total of 250 credits in a 5 year revalidation cycle. This applies whether you are full time or part time. The Colleges are also describing the type of information that doctors will need to provide to show that they are meeting those standards. You should therefore get in touch with your College/Faculty for advice about the CPD requirements in your specialty.
