How many hours per day should my pool (filter pump) run?
Depending on the time of year a typical pool should run between 4 and 8 hours a day. This is to ensure complete turnover of all of the water in the pool, for filtration and chlorination. During the winter, less time (approximately 4 hours) is required, and in the summer, more time (approximately 8 hours) is required.
