How many hours per week should I plan to attend classes and studying?
If you register for 14 credit hours of classes, you can expect to spend 14 hours per week in class.This does not include time required to spend doing homework and projects. Typically, professors expect students to spend 2 hours of work outside the classroom for every 1 credit hour in the classroom. This will vary depending on the class and time of semester. An engineering freshman registered for 15 credit hours (for example Engineering Fundamentals 151, Engineering Fundamentals 105, English 101, Math 141, and Chemistry 120) can expect to spend between 20 and 30 hours per week in class and completing assignments.
