Plymouth Rock Studios, a $500-million film and television studio complex slated to open in 2010, was highlighted by the Motion Picture Association of America in the recently released Economic Impact of the Motion Picture & Television Industry on the United States report, as the film and television studio in Massachusetts to “have positive effects on community development and local real estate markets.” Dan Glickman, Chairman and CEO of MPAA, released the report on April 21, 2009, at the Business of Show Business Symposium in Washington, DC. Plymouth Rock Studios is projected to create over 2,000 high-income jobs and provide the infrastructure for the sustained growth of the entertainment industry in New England.
