How Many Kids Did Shakespeare Have?

Well, there’s not a lot of written records to prove that Shakespeare even existed, but I have read that he had maybe three or four, although I’m not sure how many of them survived childhood. It’s hard to know because there were no birth certificates back then and one must trace through church records or a census, if any. A copy of his will still exists, listing the property he owned when he died and leaving everything to his wife, but I think that one son is mentioned in the will. You can see his will at the below link. I didn’t read it this time, so maybe I’m wrong about it mentioning his son, but I think it does.

SHAKESPEARE at 18 he married Ann Hathaway, a Stratford girl. They had three children (Susanna, 1583-1649; Hamnet, 1585-1596; and his twin, Judith, 1585-1662) and who was to survive him by 7 years.
