How many litters can a healthy English Bulldog female have?

one a year is to much really in that breed they are very clumsy mothers they need pig rails round the bed .they are guards that the pups can roll under if they look like getting squashed by the mother.we used to stay awake all night every night with ours and kept regular checks on pups cos the mothers can easily crush their young.as i said they are clumsy, maybe cos of their weight.the pups are too expensive to loose one so its was Always best to guard them till they were big enough too yelp out they were being squashed.the mothers also have more instances of cesareans cos of small hips.the kennel club wont let you register litters if you breed them too much.get in touch with your kennel club and ask how many is too many.
