How many litters of kittens can a mother cat have on average?

0

Cats are seasonal, meaning they go in and out of heat until they are bred, usually all spring/summer/fall. Dogs can have a litter every six months, while a cat can be nursing a litter, and become pregnant with her next litter at the same time. It can be a never ending cycle of reproduction that results in hundreds of unwanted kittens. They can begin breeding as early as five months old. And their female kittens will do the same if not spayed. Don’t be one of those people responsible for allowing hundreds of unwanted kittens to be born. Help your neighbor to spay their cat. It is not that expensive if you add up the cost of caring for constant unwanted litters. Most humane societies have low or no cost programs to help you with the expense. And a spayed cat is healthier… She is not exposed to as many diseases as a roaming intact female would be. And she won’t get uterine problems or breast tumors later in life.
