You should ask (a) How many people are diabetic and (b) how many people suffer from diabetes. I am diabetic but by keeping my weight down and not eating sweet things or lactose to excess I in no way suffer. If I were to be tested now as I was 3 years ago I would not be diagnosed as diabetic. However if I let my weight increase and then ate sweet and sugary items then I would be so diagnosed. I hope this helps in your quest and I am sorry that I do not know the answer to your question.
