The Baha’i star has nine points. The significance of the nine lies in its being the numerical equivalent of the word “Baha” or the “Greatest Name” of God which also represents perfection, nine being the highest single number. The nine points of the star are also symbolic of the seven great world religions that preceded the Baha’i Faith as well as the Babi and Baha’i Revelations.
