Residential projects are not required to submit for Electrical, Mechanical and/or Plumbing plan check unless the project consists of four or more residential units on one lot. At that time two sets of drawings will be required for each trade. Commercial projects are required to submit two sets of drawings per trade if the questions on the backside of each application apply to the project. This is just a brief explanation of what would require plan check. Please contact the Building Safety Division at (310) 253-5800 with project specific questions.
