four look it up cows and their anatomy the right answer is four they do not chew their food at first they just lap it up they then throw it up several times to “chew ” what is known as cud and re-swallow it the whole thing is just nasty and cows fart alot and sometime crap comes flying out straight across the barn floor i have seen it happen i was working this farm when i was in the 10 grade for school and this cow coughed and **** flew out its butt clear across the floor hitting the farmer’s son all over the back of his shirt it was so funny i nearly peed myself and everyone else bust out laughing to death and the gas they have comes from the re-swallowing and re-chewing their food so many times and trust me their farts really stink so the correct answer is four i studied this crap and it is the correct answer just so you know never stand behind a coughing cow LOL
All the ruminants including cows has 4 chambered stomach, and not 4 stomachs. Their digestion is rather complicated and you could do your own research on it but essentially having four chambers helps break down cellulose, which is a component of grass that is hard to digest.
