How many surges can the Surge Protector handle before it blows its circuits?

0

There is no set amount of surges. The nature of surge protectors is that they can take a power surge and absorb it, thereby protecting the connected equipment (in this case, the GDO). However, every time a surge protector takes a power surge, it loses some of its capacity to protect. A large enough power surge or if the protector has taken many small hits and just can’t take anymore, will take out the circuit, cutting off power to the GDO and protecting the logic board. It depends on the severity of the power surge or how many it has taken – we don’t state a limit.
