How many tennis racket do tennis pros need?
It’s pretty much so they can have a variety of tensions on the strings of their racquets. Tension level makes a very large difference in the games of pros and they may want to change mid game according to the opponents style of play (or the court surface, but tension for that purpose is usually set a while back). This is why (like the past answerer said) pros like Nadal may have someone stringing more racquets for them during the match b/c they may like a certain tension when playing a particular opponent on a particular court surface. The wrong tension could possibly cost them a match. Also, just in case they were to break a racquet (i.e. Andy Roddick after a frustrating lost point) or pop the strings, they would need backups otherwise they would be forced to forfeit the match. Also it’s obviously the same racquets that they have b/c if they were to have different kinds, it would be HIGHLY detrimental to their games. Not having the same racquet would be like a lead guitarist only havi
Pros carry tons of rackets they already have a racket in mind that they want to use and it all depends on how the opponent plays if the player thinks the racket isn’t playing good they switch rackets or if they break their strings or get a little angry and smash it on the floor there are a whole bunch of reasons why they carry so many
