How many total selections are made on an average in the CSE? And how many of the total selections are appointed as IAS officers and not as IPS and other lower posts?

The total number of selection varies from year to year. 2006-07 there were about 474 selections. The IAS was about 90 and the IPS was also about 88. The remaining were central Civil Services.
