How many types of angels are there ..?
I do not believe that the term archangel occurs in the Bible, but I could be wrong. But I’m easy on this subject. Maybe there are archangels. If there are, then there are three classes of angels: Archangels — messengers and ministers of God sent to handle particularly important tasks and messages. Seraphim — powerful angels who minister to human needs when the occasion demands, though not necessarily obviously. Cherubim — frequently connected with children, these angels could be considered people who simply haven’t been born yet. Think I’m full of hot air? Jeremiah and John the Beloved both fell to their knees to worship a glorious being whom they thought was the Lord, only to find that they were conversing with a highly embarrassed angel who was only delivering the Lord’s message verbatim. There are two types of angels; simply the good and the bad. There are different ranks and orders of angels. God has given us the names of some, but there may be others He has not advised us of.
