How might college footballs next decade with BCS play out?

A decade ago, fans of the football teams at Boise State, Texas Christian and Cincinnati probably would never have given their teams much of a chance to play in a Bowl Championship Series game anytime soon. When the 2000s ended, all three had qualified for high-profile bowls, with the Broncos and Bearcats going twice each, and the programs had raised their profiles and national rankings beyond what almost anybody would have expected. But play for the national championship? Not yet. Spots in the BCS national title game have been reserved for the royalty of the sport the Floridas, LSUs, Ohio States, Southern Californias, Oklahomas, Texases and Alabamas.
