How much are marvel comics worth?

First editions in mint condition are in my opinion priceless, but I’ve seen originals such as superman reach the tripple digits zone.

I am assuming you have either old reprints or comic books that have been read, which deteriorates much of their collectibility. You have 4 factors that determine price:

  1. Rarity/Availability
  2. Condition (Mint vs. Read)
  3. Popularity (Mainstream title vs. lesser known work + desirability of the work)
  4. Market (sometimes comics are selling for more if there is some sort of event or other media storm, such as a movie to increase the interest/value in the work).

You can always get it appraised for free from Online Services such as this one:

“Marvel Tales starring Spider-Man” was a series which reprinted older Spider-Man stories. Being reprints, they are not as valuable as the original, and, in fact, are relatively worthless. You’d have a hard time even selling it for a dollar. I used to buy that series when I was a kid. I still have a bunch of mine, I think. So no, it’s not worth anything. The comics which are worth a lot of money are those form the 1960s and earlier. The best thing you can do with it is give it to a kid who might like Spider-Man.
