How much did Sea the Stars cost, originally?
I believe that as the mare Urban Sea was owned by David Tsui father of Christopher Tsui who owns Sea The Stars he would only have cost the stud fee at the time for the services of Cape Cross which as a guide stand at 35,000 Euros for 2009. What an amazing achievement and great memorial to Urban Sea (who won the Arc de Triomphe in 1993) she must have been looking down on her favourite son today with pride…he has put himself well and truly into racings Hall of Fame today…all the money in the world would not buy this fellow. Congratulations to all connections and especially to Mick Kinane who did a fantastic job of settling Sea the Stars in the early stages of the race when he was more than keen to race up with the pace…Mick your place in history is booked too .. it was always going to be written in the stars…
