A good bet would be the Hashimoto Nursery, 1935 Sawtelle Blvd., West Los Angeles, CA 90025 tel: (310) 473.6232 www.hashimotonursery.com Although their inventory isn’t online, they are a Japanese nursery, and the tree you’re looking for is a Japanese flowering cherry. User reviews are good, and they carry trees. First source below is review for this nursery. It’s the last of its kind in an area noted for Japanese culture. San Gabriel Nursery & Florist may also carry the tree. They’re at 632 S. San Gabriel Blvd., San Gabriel, tel. (626) 286-3782. They’ve got both Korean and Japanese flowering cherries. – the photo is from their site. Second source below is to their tree page. You can, of course, buy them online as well. As I wasn’t able to find a price through the sites above, I searched a Nebraska company. A Japanese flowering cherry can be purchased for less than $30, plus shipping. Enjoy – one of my favorite things to do in Spring is to meander around in a nursery!
