How much do great pyrenees puppies cost?
For a well-bred Great Pyr from a reputable breeder with health guarantees you are looking at $1,000-2,200 in the United States… GP are absolutely wonderful dogs, but they are certainly not the dogs for everyone! They were bred to think independently (without human input/direction), so GP can be quite difficult to train, to say the least!! They are also a VERY vocal breed. They will bark and bark and bark when outdoors, it is their instinct. Especially at night!!!! Also, they are a guard dog by instinct, not through training. They often are not welcoming of strangers/visitors who enter your yard/home (which could be a good thing, but it also can be a negative). And with all large breeds, life expectancy is not long at all. They are prone to devastating genetic and health issues, such as HD.
