How much does a Clydesdale weigh?
A mature “Clyde” will weigh between 1600 and 2400 pounds. Can you ride a Clydesdale?Yes, you can ride them and calm dispositon they are good on the trail too. The smaller Clydesdales are much more comfortable to ride in my opinion because of low branches and the girth which one must straddle. Remember the stirrup is waist hight even for a tall person on an 18 hand horse!
