How much does a whippet eat?
Really, it kind of depends on your dog. Older dogs eat a lot less than dogs in their prime, and puppies differ greatly- if he’s a puppy, check with your vet. For a normal, 25-30 pound adult dog, I’d suggest 1-1.5 cups twice a day. Make sure the food you buy is high in protein- preferably with some meat as the main ingredient and with minimal corn filler. This may be more expensive, but your dog will thank you. Most dogs are fine with dry kibble- I give mine wet food as a treat, but she likes her kibble quite well.
