How much does culinary school cost and how long does it take to complete?
Culinary schools provide the culinary education at a very reasonable cost. The fees structure of these schools is flexible and depends upon the type of programs and degrees. These schools offer the scholarship programs and also accept the fees in installments. The duration of the classes depend upon the courses. Culinary schools programs include bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and diploma & certification programs.
Well, that really depends on a number of factors. Student loans are always an option, but my guess is that culinary school could cost any where up between 5-10 lakhs per course. Of course, a number of factors come into play here- hostel fee, internships, course instruction etc. What you need to try and decide is if you’re getting value for what you’re paying for culinary school. One such college is AIMS Bangalore which offers a bachelors in culinary arts, a dual degree option in association with ALMA, Italy which is the world’s leading international educational and training centre for Italian Cuisine. So, if you ask me, I’m getting more than my money’s worth through that and I’m not sure many institutes in India would give me the edge AIMS would so that’s also something to consider.
