How much does it hurt to get hit by a paintball?

depends where you get hit and from how far you get hit but the worse thing that will happen to you is that youll have a bruise thatll be sore for a few days  more

It hurts far less than an airsoft bb which is far more accurate. No stupid hopper sticking up either. Paintballs = bruises the size of quarters, airsoft = bruises the size of dimes. The pain level corresponds about the same as well. Key factor for me is the shrapnel factor of a paintball. If it hits you wrong the paintball casing will fragment and pieces of the plastic casing will actually turn into shrapnel that will shred you (especially when cold). After digging pieces of plastic shrapnel out of knuckles and what not, I'd had enough. The first time you pick up an airsoft gun and realize how accurate it is, you may convert as well. Best part is spending $12/day for a bag of bb's rather than $60/day for some paint.  more

I've done that before. Depends on the protection and how far away you are. But approx., it hurts to tell you the truth. I had bruises where I got hit!  more

It hurts on how far, the shot was taken, what gun it was shot out of, and what your wearing. I'm a pro Paintball player and paintballs never really hurt me. The only time it hurt is it was really close or if it hits your skin.  more

I have never played by know people who have and they can leave bruises. Sooo...it must hurt at least a little bit!  more
