For every pound raised, approximately 87 pence goes directly to our charitable activities. This is split as follows: • 63 pence is spent on community greening projects in London, our UK cities and three overseas projects • 13 pence is spent on providing vocational training in horticulture, arboriculture and woodland management to long-term unemployed people and other hard-to-reach groups living close to our projects • 11 pence is spent on our campaigning activities – putting the planting of trees in urban areas at the top of our leaders’ agendas and educating the public on the importance of urban greening projects Just 13 pence is spent on raising funds and running the charity.
