A gas furnace still must move the air, so the blower/fan must still be powered by electricity. This is the biggest electricity draw. The gas furnace does have a couple of electrical components, like the ignitor and the gas valve switch, but these use a negligible amount of electricity. The amount of electricity used depends on how big the system is, and how long it runs. An efficient fan needs very little electricity, and an insulated home does not require as much heat. I can't give you kilowat hours without knowing the specs of your system. I hope this helps.  more
