How much food should I feed my butterfly Pleco?
Pleco’s can’t survive solely on eating algae, that’s only when they’re young. They’ll thrive with a varied diet of meaty foods combined with veggies. Please make sure you are offering him fresh cooked veggies such as spinach, lettuce, kale, cucumber, etc. at least three times weekly. He’ll also scavenge along the bottom of the aquarium looking for uneaten bits of food such as blood worms and brine shrimp, protein is important in his diet.
