How much hard drive space do I need for a desktop computer?

If you want to put a LOT of stuff on it you will need a LOT of hard drive space. Buy the biggest one you can afford. Look at the link below and on the left side they have various sizes up to 1 TB (1000 GB). These are just some examples.

When it comes to hard drives, the rule is, there’s no such thing as too much! But, for you I would suggest a minimum of 120GB. 160GB would be better, and 250 GB would be perfect! But, 120GB would be the least I would recommend. 80GB isn’t very much these days.

i would say go with 250 gigs just in case, youll like that much room and you wont have to worry about your space

For a desktop hard drive, it’s not much more expensive to get a big one. You’ll need it eventually anyway.

It depends if you are either building or getting a desktop you can get a 500gb hard drive from new egg for not too much.
