How much input will the public have regarding the traffic plan for streets surrounding the arena?

0

The Louisville Arena Authority is interested in obtaining public comment regarding the development of a Traffic Management Plan to serve the downtown arena. Please visit www.arenaauthority.com and click on the “Parking and Traffic Comments” link. This comment format has been developed to provide full opportunity for public participation and input. Comments will be reviewed by the traffic consultant who has the responsibility to submit a final recommendation to the Louisville Arena Authority. Implementation of the plan, including any changes to the downtown traffic system, will be the decision of Louisville Metro. There will be a lot of pedestrian traffic on the streets surrounding the arena on game days and when there are large conventions, etc. What are the plans for ensuring their safety, especially in light of increased vehicular traffic? This issue is also being studied and recommendations will be made by the traffic consultant engaged by the Arena Authority.
