How much is poll tax normally?

0

Poll tax went out with the Thatcher Government ! I think you mean Council Tax ! Now this all depends on the value of your house. Each Local Authority will have Council Tax Bands and according to what Band you are in this is what you will have to pay each year. For example – Band A £x amount a year Band B – £y amount a year and so on ! Now the Band you are in depends on the value of your house – the Estate Agent should be able to tell you what Band any house comes under. Each Local Authority is able to set its own values for each area – so a house worth £100k in one area may pay more Council Tax than an equivalent house in another area. You can either pay this a lump sum or monthly over 10 months – whatever is best for you.
