There are 2 types of pesos in cuba 1st one: has been around since the brotherhood took over the island, and that is the one used by cuban, and the one they get paid in at work. they give you $ 24 or 25 pesos of those if you want to sell one American dollar 2nd one is The convertible peso (CUC) this one was introduced by my daddy fidel around i’ll like to say 15 yrs ago, anyways, that one is more for tourist, thats what they exchange your money into and for each US dollar they give you around $80 cents of the convertible money Totally manipulation of currency cuz as we know cuban pesos are worthless unless you’re in the island.
