How much jail time could someone face for a felony DWI and felony vehicular manslaughter charge?
Your not in a very good position, as you already know. Since the laws have change you are allowed 3 DWI’s within your lifetime. The courts go back 10 years since this law started now which would have been the year of 2000. For a second DWI you are facing suspension of your license for at least 1 year, drug and alcohol counsling with possible rehab being suggested by the counsler which you would be ordered to attend on your own dime, a alcohol breathing machine in your car (which you would have to pay monthly for), probation fee’s up to 3,000 dollars, supervised and un-announced drug and alcohol screenings whenever they want you to come in to do it, surrendering of your car tags until all the above is complete, and with the manslaughter charge you could be facing 10-15 years in prison for vehicluar homicide and a minumum of 1 year with it being your second DWI within the last 3 years. Sorry but you asked…..
