The salary of a tattoo artist varies from area to area. An artist will charge anywhere between $80-$150 on average, with some charging up to $285 an hour. This seems like a lot, but the expenses for doing the art, getting your name out, shop cut, and so much more, we average about 50 an hour. This also has to play on weather, name and popularity of the shop, season, and so many things.
