How much money does it cost to run Family Planning?
More than you might think. Family Planning is fortunate to employ two Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, who specialize in Reproductive Health. One of which is a certified midwife. We also employ have three counselors and one Registered nurse, one experienced biller and coder, as well as a receptionist and a contracted Educator with a Masters Degree in Social Work. Family Planning strongly believes in continuing education, which we provide twice a month to providers/counseling staff. This training often utilizes low cost audio conference and webinars that are done in the clinic. Both ARNP’s are sent to the annual regional three-day Reproductive Health Conference held in Seattle or Portland to update their skills and obtain credits necessary to retain their licensure. Our male Bilingual Health Educator attends the week long Northwest Institute for Community Health Educators, which is held every other year.
