Fiscal Year 2008-09 generated nearly $485 million in tolls collected on the state-owned bridges. Of this total BATA administers $245 million for the operations and maintenance of the bridges and for Regional Measure 1 and Regional Measure 2 projects, and Caltrans administers the remaining portion ($240 million) to cover the seismic retrofit of the toll bridges.
