How much of tax payers money goes toward fostercare/adoption related services in the USA?

I’m not sure what you are asking exactly. Are you wondering what percentage of foster care is paid for by government dollars or are you asking how much money it costs to run the foster care system? Most adoptions are private and no government money is spent. In cases where social services is involved — abuse or neglect where the government has to remove the child and care for it through the foster care system and conduct trials to have the kids taken away — the expense is mainly covered by tax dollars, and donations I guess. I have no idea what the actual dollar amount is for this but you can be sure it is a tiny drop in the pocket compared to how much the government spends on wars and military and such dreadful expenses as those. It is also a small percentage of how much it costs to keep people in prison or take care of mentally ill people who were not well provided for when they were kids and therefore need such help now.
