How much responsibility do first year associates, summer interns and co-op students have?
The training and practical experience of first year staff accountants and students focuses on developing business advisory skills that our clients need. We continually challenge our people with our broad and diversified client portfolio. This diversity provides opportunities to gain experience with audits, review engagements, compilation assignments and corporate and personal income tax. As staff accountants, students work under close supervision, as their skills develop so does the amount of responsibility and autonomy they are given. Practical, on-the-job experience is augmented by timely in-house training programs designed to equip the staff accountant with the skills they need to succeed and take on additional responsibilities.
