Golden retrievers need ample space and a lot of exercise if you live someplace with little or no back yard. They are primarily an indoor dog and very social. They will not do well as a back yard dog. In fact no dog is. Dogs live in packs and you’re the pack leader. Any dog doesn’t do well isolated. Look up your breed in the DOG ENCYCLOPEDIA.
