How much student teaching am I expected to do during the APT Field Experience?
Student Teachers should be prepared to gradually increase classroom responsibilities until Week 8 when Student Teachers are teaching 80%. During Week 9, the teaching responsibilities will be reduced to allow for marking and observation. Exact timing will be determined by the Mentor Teacher and University Facilitator based on their progress and development.
