How much swelling or bruising should be expected after surgery?

0

There is usually mild swelling on the port site, and minimal swelling on the other incisions. This should subside after a week or two. There can be some bruising on the incision sites although it is more common on the port site. It is helpful if swelling occurs to apply a cloth soaked in warm water for 20 minutes several times a day. If it does not improve, please contact the clinic.
