How much time will be required to complete the LNC Certificate Program?
The LNC Certificate Program maybe completed with one year, full time, if you begin the LNC Program in the Fall Quarter. The CSUEB LNC program consists of 5 paralegal courses and 8 specially designed seminars for the LNC. The paralegal courses provide college credit and the student’s grade is included in his or her G.P.A. Each paralegal course meets once a week for 10 weeks. This is a substantial amount of time. You must carefully assess if you have the time commitment to attend class and spend approximately 3-4 hours per week per course outside of class. In addition, the Legal Research and Writing course will require you to use the law library. In Hayward and Oakland, students use the Bernard E. Witkin Alameda County Law Library in Oakland, or the Hayward Branch. In Concord, students use the law library at the JFK University School of Law.
