How much weight can a llama carry?
Llamas like their cousin, the camel, are beasts of burden. They can carry up to 1/3 their body weight. It is not unusual for them to carry loads of 100 or more lbs for 8 hours a day, day after day without complaining or packing trips or treks. This is assuming that they are healthy and well conditioned. Like us, how well they do depends on what kind of shape they are in.
