How much would a centralized sewer system cost?

From the ‘Executive Summary’ of the Sewage Facilities Plan Update: “The sewer project is expected to cost $4,417,456 to construct with annual operation and maintenance expenses of $219,372. The project will be financed by an initial connection fee of $1000 from each of the 388 EDUs [homes] to be served, and by a USDA Rural Development Grant and Loan. Annual sewer cost per user is expected to be $565.” {Approximately $47.00 per month} NOTE: Other expenses (besides the $1000 connection fee and monthly fees) that must be absorbed by the homeowner may also apply; such as the cost of excavation to place the lines from the street to the in-house plumbing waste lines, and any interior plumbing changes to connect the home’s waste lines to the outgoing line.
