How not to get tired when playing arena hockey?
First off, you’re not doing right unless you get tired. If you are playing at full speed, you will be lucky to last 30 seconds. That is why shifts are so short in professional hockey- and they are highly trained athletes. Hockey is both an aerobic and anaerobic sport, meaning you have to do both distance and sprint training to build endurance. Personally, I think it is more important to improve your sprint-type endurance, so that’s what you should spend most of your training time on. Lastly, it is great to train and condition yourself, but you will find that there is such a thing as “game-shape.” The only way to fully improve your endurance is to be on the ice. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do off-ice, it will help a lot.
