The heavy duty air cleaner should be checked regularly, especially in dusty conditions. The rubber un-loader valve should be squeezed open and dumped at least twice a day. The primary and secondary filter elements should be inspected daily and serviced as necessary. DO NOT attempt to wash either element. The primary (large) element can be laid on its side, rotated and tapped on a hard surface to remove excessive dirt. This will not work on the secondary (small diameter) element. Both elements should be replaced if they are excessively dirty, torn or indicate other damage.
