How often do chinchillas dust baths?
1) Depending on the temperature and humidity, chinchillas need dust baths between 2-3 times a week. Dust should not be kept in their cage at all times. Too much dusting will dry out their skin. Make sure you use a good chinchilla dust such as Blue Cloud or Blue Sparkle and not a cheap “bath sand.” 2) Most people do a full change of bedding about once a week.
