How often do domesticated parrots lay eggs?

0

often breeding pairs of parrots if alowed to keep the chicks till fully weaned will not lay any more until the young are fully able to care for themselves macaws and larger paroots will do this but small parrots and parakeets may only care for thier young when they are in the nest box and for a few days after the chicks can fly after which the young may be attacked and forced to move on as the parents may start to lay another clutch. If the owner of a breeding pair of parrots takes the chicks away to hand rear after the first clutch of eggs hatches then the pair may decide to lay another clutch of eggs.
