How often is XOPENEX HFA taken?
XOPENEX HFA is most often used as a fast-acting “reliever” medicine, which means it is taken only when needed to quickly relieve symptoms. However, this is not the only possible use, so it is important to take XOPENEX HFA exactly as your healthcare provider prescribes it. Your healthcare provider also may prescribe other medicines, called “controllers,” which are taken every day at a regular time. It is important not to confuse reliever and controller medicines.
