How often should one have a transmission flush on a Nissan Maxima?

I have a 2003 Nissan Maxima with 41000 KMS on it. The last time I took it in for service I was told that the car is due for a transmission flush. A: A tranny flush can wait til 100,000 miles, IF, the fluid on the stick is still that healthy pink color (not dark) and doesn’t have the tell-tale burnt smell to it. I’m guessing that Nissan recommends a flush at somewhere around 60,000. They recommend this because they have to consider their cars that end up in hot climates, or driving on steep roads as with mountain communities. Those things will take a heavy tole on trannies and the fluid. But regular driving that doesn’t involve those stresses can prolong a tranny flush until 90 to 100,000 miles.
